On the occasion of the filming of the meeting between Samuel and Romain for the feature film "Dysmorphique", the AS16 amphitheater of Sorbonne Nouvelle University was the site of the filming of this fabulous event on April 5, 2025.
This meeting is the embodiment of a major turning point in the life of filmmaker Lyam Vicarini. Like the impact it has on Romain's narrative in the film Dysmorphic, Lyam found himself, during this day, having to confront his childhood memories with his best friend in order to trace the autobiographical nature of his dialogues.
On a personal level, the exchange between the characters of Romain and Samuel delivers a message to the viewer: the necessity to prioritize inventiveness and originality in the face of educational codes of higher education. This passage is not only the first time Romain manages to overcome his social anxiety, it is also here that drawing becomes the central passion that connects him to someone else and, moreover, allows him to transcend his limits.
On a technical level, this day represented a real challenge of staging and performance for the entire team. The main difficulty being the spatial representation of action around the protagonists. Lyam was able, on this occasion, to experience directing actors in a large-scale environment, accompanied by a fortunately understanding and talented filming crew.
All the people present on set contributed to making this moment unique, and the director wanted to express his gratitude to the extras who all showed great patience and considerable investment.
